Hi, I’m Hay—the heart behind our children’s farm programs, summer homestead sessions, and our local farm stand. I’ve always felt most at home outdoors, and I’ve dedicated my life to creating a space where kids (and grown-ups) can slow down, get curious, and feel safe being exactly who they are.

A Passion for Nature-Based Learning & Homeschool Enrichment

My days are spent tending to our animals and filling the farm stand with handmade goods, but my true passion is welcoming families onto the land. Whether you are looking for homeschool enrichment activities, outdoor summer programs, or a nature-themed story time, I believe in the power of learning through the natural rhythm of farm life.

My Teaching Philosophy: Gentle & Child-Led

​

I believe deeply in being what the world needs more of—kindness, patience, honesty, and presence. My approach to youth agricultural education is gentle, hands-on, and entirely child-led. I believe children learn best when they feel respected and trusted, with room to explore at their own pace—whether that’s:

• Animal Husbandry: Learning to feed and care for goats and chickens.

• Sensory Play: Splashing in mud puddles or feeling the texture of organic soil.

• Observation: Quietly watching how animals communicate, rest, and hold their own boundaries.

A Safe Space for Local Families

As a parent myself, I understand that trust is the foundation of any youth program. On the farm, boundaries are tested and big emotions show up—and that is where real learning happens. I work hard to create an environment where families feel comfortable, supported, and excited to return.
